Money, money, money is the only thing running through people's heads these days. Companies are always focused first and foremost on how they can make more money, even if that means pushing the customer to pay a little extra. What is the main deterrent for companies to back off on certain pricing schemes? Money! The threat of being sued or being sued is the only way to keep some companies in a relatively good price range. Laws that protect the customer in this way are excellent, but disappointing that they are so heavily needed.
I'm really feeling the last sentence. Sometimes I feel like greedy people destroy the creative process by not letting other companies build upon their own ideas. Who cares who gets the glory? Money is necessary to live, but not to the extent that some people pursue it. I feel like the world be able to make huge technological advances at a much faster rate if more technologies were openly shared between companies.
